Impressive Athletes Foundation is dedicated to giving hope to youth in underserved communities and the foster care system through the game of basketball. We provide free access to training, mentorship, and safe athletic environments that promote mental, physical, and emotional growth. Our mission is to empower young people with the confidence, discipline, and support they need to overcome challenges and build a better future.
We believe basketball is more than a game — it is a tool for mentorship, leadership, structure, and opportunity. Through positive guidance and community support, we strive to create safe spaces where young athletes can grow both on and off the court. At Impressive Athletes Foundation, we are committed to building stronger futures by inspiring hope, developing character, and creating opportunities that can change lives for generations to come.
Too many young people grow up without consistent mentorship, safe environments, or access to opportunities that help them grow with confidence and purpose.
For youth in underserved communities and the foster care system, those challenges can often feel even greater. Without guidance, support, and positive outlets, many young athletes struggle to reach their full potential both on and off the court. Impressive Athletes Foundation was created to change that.
We believe every child deserves access to encouragement, structure, mentorship, and opportunities that inspire growth, leadership, and hope for the future. Through basketball, community support, and mentorship, we aim to provide a positive environment where young people can feel seen, supported, and empowered to overcome obstacles and believe in themselves.
Why We Exits
About the Founder
Isaiah Johnson is a former professional basketball player, educator, mentor, and founder of Impressive Athletes Foundation. Raised in Brooklyn, New York, Isaiah’s journey through basketball taught him the value of discipline, resilience, leadership, and perseverance both on and off the court. After competing professionally overseas for several years, Isaiah used his platform and experience to teach and mentor young athletes from different communities around the world.
Through basketball clinics, youth training, and mentorship opportunities, he witnessed firsthand how powerful sports can be in building confidence, hope, and direction in a young person’s life. In addition to his professional playing career, Isaiah has dedicated years to working with youth through education, mentorship, coaching, and community programs. He has coached boys and girls AAU basketball teams from 3rd through 7th grade, helping young athletes develop not only their basketball skills, but also teamwork, confidence, discipline, and character.
As an educator and mentor, Isaiah recognized that many young people—especially those in underserved communities and the foster care system—often lack access to consistent mentorship, positive environments, and opportunities to grow. Those experiences inspired him to create Impressive Athletes Foundation. Today, the foundation exists to give youth a safe space to grow mentally, physically, and emotionally through the game of basketball. Isaiah’s mission is to use mentorship, sports, and community support to help young people overcome challenges, believe in themselves, and build stronger futures for generations to come.
